ADSA Cup

In 2018, ADSA will be introducing a new initiative that will see all the oral health and dental schools across Australia face off in a year-long rival. The competition is aimed at identifying which university has the worst case of ADSA fever! So get your oral health or dental student committees together and start promoting ADSA events for your chance to win some awesome prizes!
How it will all work:
This competition is all about numbers and percentages. At each event, the number of people that participate will be noted down, and a percentage of the total cohort will be calculated. These percentages will be added up and as events occur and a score sheet will be progressively updated and posted on ADSA’s social media channels.
The eligible events include:
- ADSA 1 st Year Membership Sign Up Numbers- Tallied 1st July 2018
- Attendance at select ADSA Talks Events
- Participation in the ADSA Blood Drive
- Participation in the ADSA National Survey
***NB: For events that require physical attendance at the university, year groups that are unable to attend due to placement commitments will be excluded when calculating percentages.
How will these numbers be collected?
All numbers, except for blood drive will be collected through electronic data via the ADSA website, unless otherwise indicated. The blood drive will be tallied on an independent system run by the Red Cross.
Who you will be competing against:
Universities with only oral health or dental hygiene programs will be in the running for the ADSA Oral Health School’s Cup. Universities with only dental programs will be in the running for the ADSA Dental School’s Cup. For the universities that possess both dentistry and oral health programs, the two programs will be divided and calculated separately within their respective categories.
What you will be competing for:
ADSA Oral Health School’s Cup:
- 1st Prize: $500
- 2nd Prize: $250
ADSA Dental School’s Cup:
- 1st Prize: $1,500
- 2nd Prize: $500
- 3rd Prize: $250
This prize money will be paid to your university’s dental and oral health student societies to do with as they wish. Perhaps this may help to fund an end of year celebration or be that extra boost for one of your own events.
